Welcome! This page is devoted to Unryuu Akari, my Angel of Light. She may be a minor character in Ranma 1/2, but she's one hell of a girl. Sweet, charming, beautiful, devoted, she's everything that a guy could want. Anyway, this is a collection of Akari pictures. ALL but one of them are scanned from my manga, so don't use them unless you have my permission. This is not the best webpage out there, but I hope you'll enjoy it. -Char350 |

Unryuu Akari Unryuu Akari debuted in Volume #30 of the manga/anime Ranma 1/2 by Rumiko Takahashi. Akari is sweet, charming, devoted, angelic, and beautiful (I can go on for hours and hours praising her ^_^). She absolutely adores pigs. She follows a long family tradition of raising/training sumo pigs. Akari is often accompanied by Katsunishiki, the 14th Sumo Pig Champion. Katsunishiki is pretty important because 1) Akari rides him as a form of transportation 2) He can protect Akari 3) Akari's grandfather said that only someone who can defeat Katsunishiki in battle is worthy of taking Akari's hand in marriage. Akari fell in love with Ryouga the first time she saw him and loved him even more when Ryouga defeated Katsunishiki easily. Ryouga wasn't too happy when Akari compared him to a pig (which was actually a praise). Ryouga was not too fond of his curse, but Akari found it to be a blessing that the one she loves can turn into a pig. This also forced Ryouga to choose between Akari and Akane. But since Akari actually shows interest in Ryouga, the two became penpals (Volume 31) and even went out (Volume 36), though I don't think it was exactly a romantic date. Towards the end, Ryouga was leaning more towards pursuing Akari because he knew Akane and Ranma loved each other. |
